March Favorites!!! :)

Hey Guys,
Happy April Fools day! I never minded getting pranked on as a kid, sometimes it was actually really funny, but I was never very good at pranking people back, which left me like an open target growing up. I did try though, I remember one year I tried to prank my sister into believing that she had gotten excepted into Hogwarts (her favorite magical realm of ALL TIME!!!). It ended with her in tears and a one week grounding for myself. So moral of the story is that I hope all your pranking endeavors end up better than mine did! Now let's get on with today's blog post. Since it is April 1st, this means that it is time for me to write about everything that I have been loving in the month of March.
The first product that has been a favorite since I first put it on in the beginning of the month and have been loving ever since is the Julep nail polish in "Shenae." It is the color of the polish that has particularly jumped out at me and made this the one that I have practically worn all month long, (seriously, the bottle is almost empty!) It is a gorgeous light sea foam green-blue color, with a pretty sheen to it.

My second favorite is an old love that I have recommitted myself too. Nars' "Laguna" bronzer was my first ever high end bronzer purchase. I used the crap out of it for the first 6 months and then my eyes began to wonder and my beloved "Laguna" was put back into the collection. Last month I did a bronzed eye makeup tutorial using that bronzer and I remember why I was so in love with it in the first place. So out it came from the collection and into my everyday makeup bag it went.

The brow product that I have been liking, and reaching for this month is the Anastasia brow powder in "Auburn." My hair color is naturally brunette but for the past six months I have been dying it a deep auburn. I love that this powder has two shades, one a dark red color and the other a dark brown. I just swipe my angled brow brush down the center for the best of both worlds.

Out of all the expensive, high end eyeliners that I own, the one that has captured my heart is from the drugstore. The Milani Liquid-Like Eyeliner pencil in "Brown" has been a constant on my eyes this month. I love that I have about 30 seconds to smudge it out before it sets and I love that once it sets on the waterline it does not move all day long.

After posting a three part huge haul of mostly blushes, it wouldn't be a favorites this month without a blush. Two of my new ones have completely captured my heart. The first is the Make Up For Ever HD Blush in "220." This cream blush has become my everyday go-to blush color. I love the cream formula because it is slightly more hydrating on my skin than a powder, and it doesn't separate throughout the day. I have found that the best way to apply this blush is with the Real Techniques "Stippling Brush." The second blush is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in "Luminous Flush." This is such an illuminating powder blush, I love it. I find that I prefer using this blush with my more radiant foundations instead of my matte formulas.

The next two products that I have are skincare related. It is no surprise that I have had super dry skin this month and was using these two products to help put the moisture back in it. The first is the Glam Glow Thirstymud Hydrating treatment. Omg! I love this stuff. I have used it as a mask and also as an overnight moisturizer, and prefer it as just a mask. I slather my face with the lovely smelling goop and let it set for twenty minutes. Then I wipe it off with a dry towel and it leaves my skin feeling softer and more hydrated than before. The second product  is the Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk. I used this as a serum and put it on before my moisturizer at night for even more hydration.

I have two random favorites this month. The first is a song. Andy Lange and Josh Golden covered the song "Hey Brother," my Avicii and I cannot stop listening to it. If you haven't heard it yet and want too, take a listen to it here, it is really good. Both Andy Lange and Josh Golden have YouTube channels where they post their music.

The second favorite are these cute little books that I found in Barnes and Nobles. They are cute little coffee table books that have a lot of stories about the myths, tales, and legends of fairies and mermaids. I love legends and tales for almost every mythical creature so these books are right up my alley!

That is it for my March monthly favorites. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found it entertaining to see what I have been loving this month (I know I love reading these types of post!) I hope you all had a lovely weekend and don't get pranked on too hard today. I will see you guys tomorrow with another Words of Wisdom post!

              Lots of Luck,
                Mallory
